Late Thursday, July 1, 2021, the Boy Scouts of America and its local councils announced they had reached a historic settlement with survivors of sex abuse allegedly committed by Boy Scouts scoutmasters and other Boy Scouts representatives. Settlement negotiations with the Boy Scouts, its local councils, their insurers, and sponsoring and chartering organizations, have been ongoing almost from the day Eisenberg Rothweiler, along with its co-counsel in Abused in Scouting, filed a sex abuse lawsuit against the Boy Scouts in August 2019.

With hundreds of men and boys looking to sue the shuttered Glen Mills Schools, a Philadelphia judge has agreed to consolidate the litigation into a mass tort program. On June 15, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Arnold New issued a one-paragraph order granting a motion seeking to consolidate litigation against the school, where boys and young men were alleged to have been abused by staffers and fellow students for decades.
