Eisenberg Rothweiler Supports Philadelphia VIP as a Presenting Sponsor of its 2023 Annual Awards Night

Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck had the great honor and privilege of serving as a Presenting Sponsor of Philadelphia VIP’s 2023 Annual Awards Night on May 4. The event was VIP’s first in-person Awards Night since 2019.

Eisenberg Rothweiler is a long-time supporter of Philadelphia VIP, an organization that pairs volunteer attorneys with low-income Philadelphians who are in desperate need of—but cannot afford—legal assistance.

Eisenberg Rothweiler’s attorneys have all represented low-income residents of Philadelphia in more than 50 cases including tangled title, guardianship, landlord-tenant, estate-planning, personal injury, and property damage matters. The firm has received the Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., award in numerous years; the most recent being 2018. The award is given by VIP to the law firms that provide the most exemplary pro bono legal services to the community.

The firm’s sponsorship of the 2023 Annual Awards Night continues its ongoing sponsorship of VIP, including VIP’s 40th Anniversary Gala in 2022 and the firm’s three-year financial commitment it recently made to the organization. In addition, the firm, led by Stewart Eisenberg, recently participated in a donation matching program during which he matched all donations to VIP, resulting in $63,618 in additional funds.

“For more than four decades, members of the Philadelphia legal community through VIP have provided legal advice to low-income Philadelphians who face legal threats to their housing, family, and income,” said Stewart. “We will proudly continue supporting an organization whose mission is to connect members of the Philadelphia legal community to Philadelphians in need of legal assistance so that they can receive free, high-quality legal services that help prevent homelessness, preserve income, support family stability, and promote community economic development.”

It takes a specific mindset, specialized skills and substantial resources. The types of cases we handle are not the average personal injury. They involve severe, permanent injuries to people that radically affect their lives forever, or in some instances, even cause their death.
